Welcome Dr Ryno Laubscher
Ryno received his PhD from Stellenbosch University in 2017. He has an immense passion for computational engineering in particular understanding and applying numerical modelling to complex phenomena in the field of thermal-fluid science. He has experience in industry focused on computational modelling, mainly in the energy sector, more specifically simulation of various micro and macro-scale processes in boilers and large scale wet and dry condenser systems, using CFD, systems-CFD (process modelling) and machine learning. Ryno has also worked in academia as a part time lecturer at Stellenbosch University.
Within ATProM, Ryno will be the Academic Lead for the EPPEI Specialisation in Energy Efficiency that was established in 2012. He brings a wealth of industrial and academic experience to ATProM and we would like to wish him well in his new role.
